Each product is handcrafted in-house, pairing classic valve topology with modern precision and usability. The result is sound that is dimensional and expressive, yet composed—texture without excess, warmth without blur, and resolution without edge.
The Melto 2 phono stage is our first offering from Lab 12, with additional selections from the line to follow—each reflecting the same balance of heritage and exacting design.
Designed for serious vinyl systems, it offers extensive gain and loading flexibility. Adjustable capacitance optimizes MM cartridges, while built-in Lundahl transformers and a broad range of impedance settings provide precise gain and loading for low-output MC designs. All settings are accessible via remote, with saved configurations for each of the three inputs.
Sonically, the Melto 2 is expressive and spacious. It renders instrumental color with density and body, yet preserves low-level detail and transient snap. Soundstage width and depth are a particular strength. Images feel anchored and dimensional.
