MACO MACARIAS

Cohesion without compromise

Most loudspeakers divide the musical spectrum among multiple drivers using a crossover network, handing bass, midrange, and treble duties from one driver to another. The MACARIAS takes a different approach.

At the heart of the design is a 15-inch wideband driver responsible for the vast majority of the musical presentation, preserving timing, tonal continuity, and a strong sense of coherence from bass through treble. Rather than sounding segmented or analytical, music emerges with a natural flow and immediacy that draws attention toward performance rather than reproduction.

A second 15-inch woofer reinforces the low frequencies, adding scale, weight, and dynamic authority without disrupting the seamless character that makes wideband designs so engaging in the first place.

Combined with the open baffle architecture, the result is a presentation that feels spacious, tactile, and remarkably alive; equally capable of revealing subtle textures and delivering genuine physical impact when the music demands it.

Built for low power. Scales with authority.

The MACARIAS is especially compelling with low-powered tube amplification, where its 93dB sensitivity and immediacy allow small amplifiers to sound remarkably expressive and alive. Selectable 4 or 8 ohm operation provides another degree of flexibility when matching the speaker to different amplifiers. Paired with single-ended triodes, it excels in tonal color, touch, texture, and the subtle dynamic shifts that make music feel present in the room.

At the same time, the MACARIAS is not limited to one style of system building. Its ability to absorb power and maintain composure makes it equally rewarding with high-current hybrid and solid state amplifiers when the goal shifts toward greater scale, bass impact, and dynamic force.

That flexibility is part of what makes the MACARIAS so engaging over the long term. It reveals the character and strengths of the electronics driving it while maintaining its own sense of openness, coherence, and physical presence.

Natural materials. Individual character.

The MACARIAS is available in a range of material and finish options that give each pair its own visual identity. From the mass and texture of granite or quartz to the warmth of solid ash and Baltic birch, every version preserves the sculptural simplicity of the design while bringing a distinct character to the listening space.

Natural and gloss finishes are available, along with custom paint options for systems and rooms that call for a more personalized expression.
