Backbeat Audio is excited to introduce Dr. Feickert Analogue turntables to the Portland audio community. Founded in 2005 by Dr. Christian Feickert, a German physicist and chemist with a Ph.D. in both disciplines, the company is known for precision engineering, technical sophistication, and timeless aesthetics. Dr. Feickert turntables offer both high performance and adaptability, allowing for the use of various tonearms. Dr. Feickert personally assembles and tests each unit, ensuring that every product meets his exacting standards.

Compact, elegant, and uncompromising, the Volare is a precision-engineered turntable designed to deliver the hallmark neutrality, build quality, and sonic performance Dr. Feickert Analogue is known for—at a more accessible price. Developed from the ground up, the Volare features a newly designed high-mass chassis, ultra-stiff low-friction bearing, and a high-torque motor system for smooth, low-rumble operation. A true high-end performer in a deceptively compact form. Comes standard with the Origin Live Silver Mk. 4 tonearm. Other options are available. Also available in black and walnut.

Blackbird

The Dr. Feickert Blackbird is a high-performance turntable designed for audiophiles seeking versatility and precision. Featuring dual brushless, three-phase Pabst motors in a 180° configuration, it minimizes reactive forces and reduces wow, flutter, and bearing noise. The chassis accommodates two tonearms, supporting pivot-to-spindle distances from 205–320 mm on the right and 205–240 mm on the optional left mount .

The 13.23-lb Delrin platter, embedded with eight brass inlays, enhances inertia and resonance control. A built-in cartridge alignment protractor simplifies setup, while the quick-release armboard system allows for easy tonearm swaps .

Available in various finishes, including matte black and wood veneers, the Blackbird combines engineering excellence with aesthetic appeal. Its sound signature is dynamic, neutral, and detailed, making it a standout choice for discerning vinyl enthusiasts.

Available with several tonearm options from Thomas Schick, EMT and Kuzma, with lengths from 9-12 inches.
